From Pastor David
Can it really be 2019?
One more year and it will be 2020? Wow. 2018 is past, and we look forward to journeying another year with our Lord Jesus. What an exciting & wonderful privilege we have been
As each of us take time to reflect back on 2018, may we be thankful for the many experiences and insights our Loving Lord has given us. Some have been pleasant – while others not so pleasant. Hopefully, each of life’s experiences in 2018 have helped us realize, even more, that each year of life is an amazing journey of Grace!
I hope that – in our looking back on 2018 – we all take time to focus on the Faithfulness of our God – that His loving mercies and provision were new every morning –matching our greatest needs.
With 2018 in clearer focus, we are reminded that our loving and caring Lord Jesus will always be with us, and that HIS GRACE will be sufficient for anythingwe face in 2019.
We have a sure HOPE in our Lord Jesus. None of us knows what 2019 will bring –but we are anchored in Jesus –who is our strength and life and sure hope of eternity.
Please allow the powerful words of Isaac Watts’ great hymn “O God Our Help In Ages Past” remind you of our Triune God’s great love and grace to each of us in 2019.
O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast, and our eternal home.
Under the shadow of thy throne, still may we dwell secure;
Sufficient is thine arm alone, and our defense is sure.
Before the hills in order stood, or earth received her frame,
From everlasting, thou art God,to endless years the same.
O God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come;
Be thou our guide while life shall last,and our eternal home.
You are dearly loved – and deeply appreciated
