Grace Communion International – We are an international Christian fellowship, on mission with the Father, Son and Spirit, living and sharing the gospel in ways that birth all kinds of churches, for all kinds of people, in all kinds of places. As an international Christian fellowship, we have about 50,000 members formed into 900 churches spread across 100 countries.

  Good morning all

For almost 20 years we have been supporting our Haiti GCI church and school.

What a blessing it has been to be able to help them over the years.

Charles Fleming and I recently received an email from pastor Joseph Franklin asking for funds to help pay the

teachers for the period March – June 2018.  Due to several factors, the school attendance was down about 25-30%, thus reduction of funds to pay teachers and cover remaining school expenses for that period…food, electricity, water, school supplies.

Charles informed me this week that there are no other funds to take care of the deficit…and whatever we could do would be a blessing for them.

So, given that all 3 of our churches are doing fairly well with finances, I hope that we all agree to cover the deficit…which we can do since we are blessed and do wish to be a blessing to others.

The deficit is right at $3000.  So let me know what you all think you can do within your budget.

Charles and I look forward to going there in July.

We need to act upon this quickly as the funds are needed ASAP.

After you let me know the amount your churches are planning to give, I will then add the figures up and see where we are in the amount, and give you the OK to send a check to

Anita Franz in Lafayette….and we will inter-bank it from the bank they use at Living Hope  Fellowship.

Anita…I will get you the instructions, routing #, etc… and given the urgency I may have you just send the entire amount from the Lafayette account and know that two other churches will be sending checks.  I will talk with you about this.

It is a blessing to be ON MISSION WITH JESUS, helping his children in Haiti.

Your Life Is A Memorial To God.  Memorial Day, is a legal holiday, observed annually on the last Monday in May, in most of the United States, in honor of the nation’s armed services personnel killed in wartime. The holiday, originally called Decoration Day, is traditionally marked by parades, memorial speeches and ceremonies, and the decoration of graves with flowers and flags, hence the original name. Memorial Day was first observed on May 30, 1868, on the order of General John Alexander Logan for the purpose of decorating the graves of the American Civil War dead. Many will spend this day giving honor to those who gave their lives for our country…to give us our freedom – and going to cemeteries to visit the graves of loved ones. People will REMEMBER their loved ones and friends….and how they touched their lives. Memories may be shared about the person whose grave they visit or remember. For Christians, Memorial Day can mean so much more. We are to be a LIVING MEMORIAL of what our loving, kind, gracious and merciful Triune God HAS DONE in and through our lives. Take time to marvel at all God has done and is doing in your special life. How great it is, and what a privilege it is to be a LIVING MEMORIAL – to be able to testify to the people who see us every day, that God through Jesus Christ is responsible for the blessings we have and do enjoyed. We need to observe and talk about MEMORIALS to the Lord in our lives…so that we are reminded of God’s blessings in our lives – and so others can see and HEAR that God has done great things. We should be in the business of being LIVING MEMORIALS to the Lord.

Lonnie King – Cypress Ridge Baptist Church in Houston, Tx wrote the following: Our lives can especially be a LIVING MEMORIAL to His grace, love and mercy. As a LIVING MEMORIAL we are reminded – and everyone who sees, hears or is touched by us –is reminded that we serve a mighty God! For believers, every day can be Memorial Day of What God Has Done, Is Doing and Will Do for us. You are loved and deeply appreciated – Pastor David
