†† Pastor’s Corner ††

Pastor David Perry & Jonnie

What an exciting time of year to be a Christ-Follower.  We are just 2 weeks away from our celebration of Palm Sunday which begins Holy Week; and 3 weeks away from our Easter/Resurrection Celebration service.  It is an important time to just RE-FOCUS on Jesus and His never ending Love for US and ALL HUMANITY.

In our current sermon series, we are traveling and journeying with Jesus during the year before His death for us and all humanity. I hope you are finding the journey exciting and inspirational, remembering that He had us and all humanity on His heart. But also remember this: Jesus is traveling and journeying with us today! The overall theme of this sermon series is:  “Who IS Jesus?”  and “Why Did He Come”.

Each day our Lord looks forward to what we are going to do and how we will live for and with Him.  He’s more interested in our day-to-day lives than I think we realize.       Our Lord isn’t just interested in “where” we ultimately get to in our Christian lives – Eternity with Him – but how we get there and the work that is happening in our lives and hearts as we journey with Him. Our spiritual transformation is into children of the King, who seek to honor Him, glorify Him, rest in Him, have joy in Him, and praise Him more and more.  The beauty of this is that our God – as Father, Son & Spirit – desires greatly to help us become Christ-followers who respond this way in our lives.

Truly we are who we are, and are transformed into passionate as followers of Jesus – because of God’s amazing Grace. In Hebrews 2:10, the Message Bible says: “It makes good sense that the God who got everything started and keeps everything going now completes the work by making the Salvation Pioneer[Jesus] perfect through suffering as he leads all these people to glory.”

Our lives are to be lived out in the Spirit, as a grateful & loving response to what Jesus has done, is doing and will do through us.  Love the Lord, Live His Life & Share Him With Others.Jesus loved us to death – to the death of the cross – to INCLUDE US in HIS ETERNAL LOVE. How great is that!

What a glorious time we are entering into – to celebrate and come face-to-face with the extravagant Love of our Savior for us.2 Weeks until Palm Sunday and the beginning of Holy Week!!!~ You are loved – Pastor David
