WE ARE GCI

Another GCI International Conference ended Sunday midday. Somewhere between 1000 and 1100 were in attendance at an absolutely joyous and uplifting experience. It was, as a dear friend said, a very FUN time with FAMILY. The Theme: “WE ARE GCI”.

Jonnie and I were able to renew acquaintances with so many of our dear friends from around the world, as well as meeting so many new brothers and sisters from around the world and in USA. Thanks for your prayers – they were answered wonderfully.  GCI has an incredible present and future with many new young men and women taking up the pastoral leadership of churches.  I was able to reconnect with family from Haiti, Bahamas, Jamaica, Columbia, Philippines, Indonesia, India, South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, England, Netherlands, Bangladesh, New Zealand, Australia, Bermuda, Barbados, Canada, Trinidad, St. Vincent, Honduras, Grenada, Fiji, Ghana, Martinique. I think that is most all of them.  What a wonderful worldwide/international group we are….by the amazing GRACE OF GOD. I truly wish that all of you could have attended the GCI International Conference in Orlando. What an amazing time of worship, teaching, eating together, sharing lives, building and renewing relationships with friends from around the world, and laughing and enjoying the Lord’s Grace. Over the next couple months, I look forward to sharing updates and stories and parts of messages with you that I pastor – along with pictures of some of these dear people.

God of the Second Chance

written by: Pastor Chuck Missler

As we survey our own predicament in America, it is easy to become alarmed. The widespread corruption is evident throughout our land, in all the corridors of power—in Wall Street as well as in Washington. Our government has abandoned the Constitution; our Congress signs bills they don’t bother to read; our schools deliberately dumb down our youth; our media takes pride in shaping opinions rather than informing the electorate; our entertainment industry celebrates every form of sin and debauchery it can devise; and, we attempt to outlaw God out of all public places as we abandon the heritage which gave us the liberties and abundance we’ve come to take for granted.

And, where’s the outrage? The apathy and silence is astonishing! Some would argue that God’s “Abandonment Wrath” has already begun. Yet, it still may not be too late…  The Scriptures extensively portray a “God of the Second Chance.” God always allows for repentance. God has declared a clear and exciting promise:

2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Notice that this is not addressed to our President, our Congress, those in the corridors of power, or our population in general: It is addressed to “My people, who are called by my name.” It is, thus, I trust, addressed to you and me.  If we will humble ourselves, and pray, and seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways—then He will forgive our sin and heal our land. We desperately need a national revival—but it must begin with you and me. It is our sin that is standing in the way of what God would prefer to do: to have America continue as a beachhead for the Gospel to a hurting world. Our destiny as a nation will not be decided in the ballot boxes. It will devolve from our prayer closets.

Both Israel and the Church have had their failures. While each have had distinct origins and will have distinct destinies, we need to learn from both. The failures of the Church are also dealt with in the Seven Report Cards presented by the Lord Himself in Revelation 2 and 3. These two chapters, in that most blessed of books, are the most relevant to each of us. It should be our prayer that all of these lessons not be wasted. (There is a prevalent heresy that “the Church has replaced Israel.” However, it soon will be the other way around: Israel will replace the Church, after the Harpazo! Think about it. Total Solar Eclipse Path of 2017

Solar Eclipse Facts

Begins in Oregon (33rd state) will cross the US and end in S.C on the 33rd parallel.

The sun will be setting in Jerusalem at the beginning of the eclipse in US.

The 2017 Total Solar Eclipse will only be visible in the continental US.

No other country on earth will see this 2017 Total Eclipse.

Last time this happened was 1776 when a Total Eclipse crossed only this continent.

The last time a Total Solar Eclipse occurred in the US was on 1918.

The path of the total darkness will be approx. 70 miles wide.

Earth is 400 times larger than the moon,  The Sun is 400 times farther away from the Moon.

Solar Eclipses have been biblically and historically associated as a harbinger (warning) to Gentile Nations while Lunar (Moon) Eclipse have been signs to nations of Israel.

According to ancient cuneiform Bur-Sagale tablets, there was a total solar eclipse in 763 BC at the time Jonah was sent to Nineveh. (a heavenly sign for Gentiles)

Secular history recorded by Roman, Greek and other middle eastern historians recorded that on the day of the crucifixion of Christ there was a total solar eclipse that lasted 3 hours.

Gen_1:14  And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs , and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Luk_21:11  And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Act_2:19  And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

Act_2:20  The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

Rev 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal… there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

Pastor David Perry & Jonnie

On my day time flight to and from the GCI Conference in Orlando, I looked down at farm lands, cities, fields, forests – the areas where we all live. I wondered if anyone was looking up at this plane and wondering where we were going. As I looked down, and though I couldn’t see any people, I wondered: “What are they doing?  What is their story?  Do they know God loves them?” n this unfathomable universe, galaxy, the entire created heavens, we are one small, but very important spot. There have been times in my life, when I have looked up into the blue, cloud-strewn skies, and into dark night heavens and wondered “God are you there, watching me?”  Or thought “God I know you see me and what I’m struggling with right now.” Haven’t we all, at one time or another, thought or said this? Thursday, as I was in my garden, I noticed a jet airliner passing 30,000+ feet overhead.  As I was picking a tomato, I wondered who was on that plane, and could anyone see me standing in my garden?  Well, I knew no one could!  But then the reality that my God was seeing me, and loving me, flooded my being.  He was there with me, enjoying my garden with me.  After all, it was HIS garden, for I committed it to him as I planted it, and He gave the growth of all the tomatoes, cucumbers, okra, peppers, squash, green beans, etc.  We do not have to wonder “Does God see me?”  “Is He interested in what I am doing every part of the day?”  “Is He enjoying life with me?” Or…“Am I glad He is seeing me up close and personal?”  Truth is, we are being held in His gracious hand ALL THE TIME. He is committed to us because I know all He went through to redeem me and all humanity.  I am his beloved son…and you are His beloved son or daughter.  He is always with us, as he said He’d never leave us or forsake us. Now that is mighty powerful truth. Never leave me – I like that.  Never forsake me – how great is that – even when we are having a bad day.  That is the God – as Father, Son and Spirit – Who has us, and Who we are to introduce to others as we have the opportunity. What a privilege!    You are loved  ~ Pastor David
